Our client, a regional utility provider serving more than 700,000 commercial and residential customers, acquired two utility companies and needed to overhaul their IT infrastructure to ensure seamless operations across the newly merged entities. Our client’s IT organization lacked the formal, robust, and thorough Quality Assurance processes required to support an enterprise-level program. With just 18 months to replace their existing IT stack, they had no way to ensure that over 30 applications and 100+ integrations would be fully tested before the new IT stack launch.

Our solution

Valtree built a QMO team of 25 members in less than 8 weeks. This team included (1) QA Manager, (3) QA Leads, and (21) QA Engineers. Valtree’s QMO team developed the QA strategy, defined the QA lifecycle, and identified the necessary testing components. They also created integrated testing plans and executed all required testing to support the client’s enterprise program. Over 18 months, Valtree’s QMO team was responsible for delivering comprehensive smoke, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing capabilities. Additionally, they handled defect triaging and resolution, as well as providing significant testing support for UAT cycles conducted by the client’s business stakeholders.
